When will the Class of 2020 Commencement Celebration take place?

The University will host the Class of 2020 Commencement Celebration over Memorial Day Weekend 2022 (May 27-30). Specifically, the Commencement Mass and University Commencement Exercises in Notre Dame Stadium on Sunday, May 29, for all 2020 undergraduate, graduate and professional graduates. A full itinerary of weekend activities may be found here.

How many guests will be allowed per graduate?

Parents, siblings, spouses, partners, family members and guests are warmly invited to join graduates for the weekend. Each graduate will receive as many tickets as they would like for the outdoor Commencement Mass and University Commencement Exercises. In the event severe weather causes the Commencement Mass and University Commencement Exercises to move indoors, graduates will receive three tickets each.

Will there be a Commencement Mass for 2020 graduates?

Yes, a Commencement Mass will be held immediately prior to the University Commencement Exercises in Notre Dame Stadium on Sunday, May 29.

Yes, please provide your preferred email address by completing this form.

What is the cost to attend the Class of 2020 Commencement Celebration over Memorial Day Weekend 2022?

The cost for graduates to attend the weekend is $75 per person. This price includes food and non-alcoholic beverages provided at the events as well as a number of drink tickets for alcoholic beverages. Additionally, graduates may choose to stay in the dorms for $50 and bring an additional guest to the Commencement Ball for $25. The cost for guests to attend the weekend is $100. Guests will not be allowed to stay in the dorms.

What COVID-19 protocols will be in place?

Given that the COVID-19 environment continues to evolve, we will share specific guidelines in the weeks prior to the Memorial Day Celebration. Non-vaccinated guests will be asked to wear a mask at all times while on-campus.

How many dorm spots are available and will I get to choose my roommate?

Graduates may request residence hall accommodations. This can be requested via the registration form. There are a limited number of dorms (595) that will be available on a first come first serve basis. Graduates will be assigned to dorms with other graduates in singles, doubles, triples, and quads as space allows.  You may include your requested roommate(s) in the comments section of the registration form and we will do our best to accommodate, however, due to limited availability, we cannot guarantee roommate requests.
