When will the Class of 2020 Commencement Celebration take place?

The University will host the Class of 2020 Commencement Celebration over Memorial Day Weekend 2022 (May 27-30). Specifically, the Commencement Mass and University Commencement Exercises in Notre Dame Stadium on Sunday, May 29, for all 2020 undergraduate, graduate and professional graduates. How many guests will be allowed per graduate?

Parents, siblings, spouses, partners, family members and guests are warmly invited to join graduates for the weekend. Each graduate will receive as many tickets as they would like for the outdoor Commencement Mass and University Commencement Exercises. In the event severe weather causes the Commencement Mass and University Commencement Exercises to move indoors, graduates will receive three tickets each.

Will there be a Commencement Mass for 2020 graduates?

Yes, a Commencement Mass will be held immediately prior to the University Commencement Exercises in Notre Dame Stadium on Sunday, May 29.

Will there be an option for 2020 graduates to stay in the residence halls for the weekend?

Yes, graduates may request residence hall accommodations.  This will be available via the registration form, which will be available fall 2021.

Will the Class of 2020 be invited to attend a football game this fall?

Yes, the University has set aside at least 1,000 tickets for members of the Class of 2020 to purchase for the Notre Dame vs. Cincinnati game on October 2, 2021. There will also be a complimentary pre-game tailgate gathering. Please purchase tickets no later than August 1, 2021 at the following link: Class of 2020 Cincinnati Ticket Offer

What is the cost to attend the Class of 2020 Commencement Celebration over Memorial Day Weekend 2022?

The cost for graduates and guests to attend the weekend is $125 per person, or $175 if staying in a residence hall. This includes food and non-alcoholic beverages provided at the events stated on the itinerary, and a number of drink tickets for alcoholic beverages. Guests attending only the Sunday Commencement Mass, University Commencement Exercises.

Is financial assistance, similar to that provided by the Office of Student Enrichment when we were students, available to returning graduates?

Yes, financial assistance is available. If you would like to request financial assistance, please indicate as such on the registration form or email Lauren Brown (lbrown12@nd.edu).
