Biography

Scott Rieth serves as the Executive Director of Hospitality and General Manager of the Morris Inn. Scott strategically leads all University hospitality, including the Morris Inn, McKenna Hall, Three Leaf catering, Rohr's restaurant, and Legends restaurant. He also oversees the University Events department which books and executes over 1,500 events annually on campus, including: internal campus meetings and events, academic conferences, corporate and social gatherings, weddings, etc.

Scott brings over thirty years of hospitality leadership to the University of Notre Dame, having served as Senior Associate Director of Hospitality at the University of Southern California since 2011. Prior to joining USC, Scott spent 12 years as General Manager of Food and Beverage at Shutters on the Beach Hotel and Director of Operations Hospitality at Sony Pictures Studio. Rieth also served in a variety of positions with Fairmont Hotel and Four Seasons Hotels.

Scott's experience includes leadership of University restaurants, special event departments, conferences, catering, university club fine dining, and hospitality sales teams.  Moreover, he has led food and beverage teams in some of the most premier fine dining establishments, executed major special events on behalf of Sony Pictures Studios, developed premier training, education, and service programs, and participated in the James Beard House NYC.
